We went out to Reifel yesterday...

It was forecast to be clear, and for a change the weather man was right!  It was a cool clear, crisp day.  It made for some good shooting.  Here are a few from the walk.

1. A RARE visitor to Southwest BC - Northern Hawk Owl

Thanks for the nice comments!   There were probably 30+ photographers shooting the Hawk Owl that day... really funny to watch.

They live in the arctic normally so are diurnal.  If they slept during the day it would be a long 4 month snooze up there :)

That's a nice job catching the Harrier. I spend a good piece of my time at Reifel trying to catch the Harriers over the tidal flats.
