Hey, I have no school on friday and i want to do some fishing, and my dads work is right on River Road in delta on the left of Nordel Way and i was wondering if there would be a chance of ANY fish in the Fraser by there??? or can you even fish there??

Right now is not a good time to be fishing spoons from there although anywhere is worth trying more than once when it comes to fishing. Might have better luck fishing worms for sturgeon from there. good luck

January is always the most quiet time in the Tidal Fraser River, but occasionally you could be lucky enough to find a bull trout, a cutthroat trout while spincasting your lure. Water clarity is fairly good right now and you have a good high tide in the morning, so it is worth trying.

Notes for others who may wish to try it out:

Tidal fishing licence is needed.

Catch and release only for all trout and char except you may keep two hatchery clipped cutthroat trout per day.

Single barbless hook only, but you can use up to two hooks, lures, flies in the Tidal Fraser.

There is a creek that flows into the Fraser downstream of the Alex Fraser. It's by an old house. Not a bad place to start
A lot of the area along river road is shallow and really mucky.
You may be allowed to fish off the dock by bridgeview marine, just go and ask first

Check the tides - I haven't had much luck on an outgoing tide
That being said if you are wandering around keep an eye out on what the tide is doing - Be careful

thanks mykisscrazy. I have another question, what rod do you think would be better? a Abu Garcia 6.6 feet medium action rod with 6lb test or a Black Beauty, 7 feet medium action rod with 10lb test?

Go with the 6lb test setup. The medium action rod is still a bit too heavy in my opinion but it'd work just fine if that is all you have. Personally I use a light action rod that rates between 2 and 6lb test because most of the fish that you encounter are in this size range.

I would check out the area you are going to be fishing at low tide.  You will spot all the snags and structure and get a general idea as to what kind of bottom there is.

Also fishing is 100% better on an incoming tide imo.

I feel like a tool saying this but i didn't go... i went to the Vedder instead  least i know for next time when I go to work with my dad.

i went to the vedder as well today and i am 0-2 aswell ....darn steelies .dont like us young guys lol
