Kawkawa Lake, March 6th 2010
« on: March 06, 2010, 07:43:14 PM »

I went to kawkawa today, saturday march 6th, with my daughter and brother inlaw. I have been itching to get the boat out and what a beautiful day it turned out to be. We got into a couple fish early, two while anchored and another trolling, but lost them before getting to the boat. Some action early on got me excited but then it slowed down for a while with nothing happening. Later on in the afternoon, in a new area, the bite picked back up and we were into fish again. Unfortunately we were time limited and the action really picked up in the last hour before we left. Would have been nice to put in another hour. Tally for the day was four kokanee, two coho, and another six or so hooked but lost before getting to the boat. Biggest kokanee was thirteen inches and quite fat, but the rest were about eleven.
