All the scheduled lake stockings last week were done and I've put up the numbers at:

http://www.fishingwithrod.com/fishing_report/stocking_2.html

Deer Lake got 250 fish.

This week's stockings are final ones for this spring, just in time for BC Family Fishing Weekend:

June 14th - Alice, Brohm, Edith and Browning Lakes in Squamish.

June 17th - Rice Lake

June 18th - Lafarge Lake

Stockings will resume in September.

Very exciting, one of my favorite activities. Looking forward to taking my cousins young son out fishing this fall.

did you talk the the hatchery?

I had a hunch they might be, and threw in my rod for an after work excursion.... I know its best to wait a day, but how do you think the fishing will be if I hit it at about 6pm?

depends a bit on water temperatures. If the temp at rice is similar to the hatchery then they might start to feed within a day or so. If there is a temperature difference it may take up to a week for them to fully acclimatise.

I usually give a stock lake a day or two before I fish it. Give those chance to develop a hunger for pellets
