Was up there last weekend and was getting them off the surface with red coachman. This was at trout lake, all the fish were very small though (6" or so) and thats the size everyone else was catching too.

Fished Deer the other day and landed lots of cutthroat.  Was at Hicks yesterday and it is also fishing well.

Deer:  Around the back end?  Near the creek?  Bait or flies?

Deer is fishing well right now , and it was a week ago as well . I have not tried Trout lake yet .

Stocking should take place in the next week or so , since the island lakes have been stocked this week/end .

All small cutties, this was at trout lake though not deer or hicks. The girlfriend really likes it there because she can hang out on the gravel section and study while I go and fish. I've fished this lake for the last 10-15 years and it always seems to produce better june-august for me.

No, Trout Lake in the Harrison Lake region. Trout Lake in East Vancouver currently does not receive any trout stocking due to poor water quality.

How big are the fish in July and August? Just cutthroat trout or rainbow trout as well?

They larger ones during the summer tend to be more in the 12-14" range. I've occasionally caught rainbows in these lakes as well, but there are definitely a lot more cutthroat around. I've never really had any good luck at hicks lake however but have heard that the fish can get quite large in there if you can locate them. Anyone catch anything of any size there before?

I've camped there since I was a little kid and have never had a multi fish day there and I think my biggest ever catch out of hicks was around 13" or so but I always hear that there are bigger guys out there.
