Like the best tasting fish poll, but limited to salmon and including a couple of key omissions.

One of the things about Salmon to me is there is different uses for Salmon.
I like smoked Salmon but I like Coho for Lox, Springs for regular smoking,
I candy smoke Chum and Pinks. I do not eat Steelhead, or Atlantic Salmon.
I know some of the other guys also like to cook different Salmon different ways.
Just my 2 cents.

Under the assumption you're talking wild and NOT farmed....
Well,  maybe if you could pick 2 or 3 then the poll would average out the most popular (of those who vote).
Also Atlantic won't get too many votes because of its stigma as a farmed salmon;
although an ACTUAL WILD Atlantic salmon is quite good but I don't think too many here on the west coast have actually tried it.
All are (or can be) good if prepared properly but some are suited to particular cooking methods and individual tastes.
Kinda like BBQ new york strip vs Roast prime rib; depends on the day.

I do not eat Steelhead, or Atlantic Salmon.

Don't like them, or just for conservation/environmental reasons?

Steelhead, the stocks are too low for me. A nice looking fish, great fighting
just my personal way of doing things. As for Atlantic, I have not had the
chance to catch wild Atlantic, if I ever do get the chance I will try it,
but I will not eat farmed fish.

But I thought hatchery steelhead were meant to be kept and eaten, and not released back into the ecosystem to spawn and pollute the wild populations with inbreeds.
