I'd be game for that. I have a similar problem. My fishing buddy is getting married this summer so he's busy most of the time.

I managed to get my first of the season to Funeral of hearts... haha, it was similar sized to yours. Missed a few bites tho. My friend said there is a dock in New west that isn't as snaggy and he saw some guys have decent luck there. Also, I was fishing at the surrey public wharf and it isn't too bad either. Apparently someone landed a 6 footer there yesterday

Cool. Congrats on your catch. I'm sure i missed a few bites too, being a rookie it comes with the territory. I have heard of those docks (new west and surrey) but im not sure how to get to the new west one so i never bothered.

If the dock is the one in front of the old BC pen then its a good place to fish but because the dock is high out of the water its hard to handle the fish.

Unfortunately my kids have not been out sturgeon fishing with me yet, too cold for them. But they are enjoying the video and pictures.

I went out again today and managed a 3 footer and a 5 footer. The five was a ton of fun to bring in.

Right on FoH, today was an awesome day it seems. I had a good day as well, within 1.5 hours I managed to catch three 4-5 foot sturgeons!

One seemed to have a really bad accident previously. It was torn mouth to gill but it seems it has long since healed.

They are just nylon gloves with rubberized palms... nothing fancy

Thanks. I took my fillet glove last time i was out so i wouldn't get cut up. I just got it wet before i handled the fish and it seemed to be ok.

fished the bedford channel and the albion area of the fraser today...had a few nice bites but wasnt quick enough to set the hook.  was a good day out any how... we saw some nets out... are the natives allowed fishing  forthe oolies?  saw a man catch a seven footer... off the ferry dock  was nice to see that the fish where around.. bad thing was the fishing partner had to call it a day once the rain came... sapperton landing maybe next weekend...
