Has anyone heard about this?
« on: May 05, 2010, 04:21:45 PM »

The other day on the tv news they told of a whale being far up into the Howe Sound area...&
now today a whale was spotted in False Creek !!!

Earlier today had the pleasure to watch two eagles just over head ...one was quite a bit higher & the other not more than 250-300 ft.  Though it did not seem windy the eagle flapped it's wings only 10% of the time thus was soaring nicely as it circled....then it quite fast gained altitude... Even as it was quite high a crow was chasing it & trying to attack it from behind. (do not normally see crows that high up) Possibly the eagle was quite low in search of eating some "baby" crows in their nests thus the reason for crow(s) not liking the presence of eagles in their area.... nature always has a way to surprize entertain & amaze. :)

i see crows attacking eagles all the time. last time i saw it the crow was probably dead or injured as the eagle grabed it and was pecking it and then the crow fell to the ground. and the crow was about the same size of the eagle. i know it is a crow from the sound it made.

Near Hope I saw 3 eagles tear a seagull to shreds.  all that was left was the seagulls wings attached together with no carcass.
