Nova - have you ever fished Blue lake ?? I have been told thats its extremely tough fishing in that lake. I have talked to several that have tried and come up with nothing in many outings and these are very good rods im talking about. It is on my list of to do lakes however im waiting until im a bit more proficient in my lake presentation skills.

--many of these higher elevation interior lakes are tough/easy depending on when you're on them even in same day so reports of a fish every cast on the same day as others get skunked.

--barometric pressure rapid changes...hatches and moody fish. weather can change from snow to full sun and T-Shirt weather in less than an hour.

--Often what worked  an hour ago won't work now.. Paying attention to feeding patterns and changing presentation, depth, size and colour of fly or lure are all part of the fun. also helps to fish with a few buddies to keep dialed in

Have you fished that lake? In the best of conditions you are lucky just to get one or two fish. I keep going back because I know how big those fish are.

Blue can hold it's share of frustrations, but the rewards are great. Long, light leaders as the water is really clear. Quiet as possible. Carry an air horn as there's been a bear or two seen over the years - a friend had to stay in his float tube for a few extra hours until a wayward bruin toddled off. The road in is rough, I was told once of a back way in, but I was never able to figure it out. Follow to the right of Glimpse Lake road and look for the blue dots. There is some rough camping there or stay at one of the Glimpse sites. Later in the fall is best.

Should have gone to Glimpse Lake.
It fished decent this weekend amongst the wind and storms.
Beauty lake and great shoals around the whole lake.

Glimpse can be freakin' amazing or just plain suck. I've had 25 fish afternoons there and 5 day trips with 3 people and 2 fish., none mine. :'( :'( :'( But when the bite is on, WoW!
