okanagan lake?

Heading there this weekend for a wedding...

if I am lucky i can sneak away to get some fishing in... we will be at lakeshore and power street....

anyone good fishing opportunities there?

 in penticton? as a kid i fished off that pier behind the casino a lot,there is a creek mouth around theart gallery as well. lots of northern pikeminnow,  rainbow trout and some kokanee.. you can walk down the beach and head towards the ss sicamous and behind there is a dam and the fishing is good down stream 100ft from there...   many lakes around aswell if you got some time to explore i think there still is fly shop on main street and duncan... and another one on the strip downtown...hope this helps, good luck and take it easy

Fishing with leaches and nymphs with a floating line has caught me plenty of trout and HUGE carp.

 we used worms and single eggs, with some split shot bounced along the bottom. for the carp we used corn and dough balls. check the regs before you head out of course...make sure to check out some local vineyards and check out some local products ;D
