A friend of mine is getting his roof done because of some leaks. Extra $560 but I guess that is OK, revenue neutral. ::)

I am frugal by nature, turning every dollar before spending it. With that said the only thing I would like to cut back is Gordon's head, right above the shoulder would be about right. :) Humour aside, I really hope the Liberals get a kick in the my friend for this in the coming election. But then again that might be worse as the NDP would be much of the same or worse, then what we have now.

Hes a nasty little fella that convicted drunk driver Gordie. This tax is going to hurt alot of people,we will have to eat out alot less. Cut back to half the amount we dine out.Whats happening with the petition that was circulating around the province? Im currently working outside of the province.I did get to sign the petition when it was going around.

That's what I wonder too. Last thing I heard it was a roaring success, collecting the required signatures. Since then deafening silence. Why is the tax going ahead as planed if the anti petition was a success?

I always vote Liberal but if Gordie is the leader I wont vote Liberal. I would NEVER vote for Carole James or her party so next election my vote goes to the Conservative Party. You might just see some of the unhappy Liberal MLA's moving to that party as well.

I am not voting Conservatives because of the HST though. Its for more serious matters than that.

YES--In the beginning I will be the same as a lot of people and resume my normal spending once I get used to being shafted once again. Actually we do not really have a choice do we. I still and always will refuse to pay tips at a restaurant on the tax charged on my bill. Gordon must feel very proud that once again, he sinks lower than most of the worst leaders that the people in B.C. have been shall we say "LEAD" by. Just my "2" cents worth that really does not mean a "DARN" thing.

HUH? Have you done any research on HST? Its not a new thing, and its not something Gordy made up on his own. 130 countries throughout the wold use an HST type system.

Read about it here. Its as unbiased as it gets on this site

Wikipedia is not unbiased...
Nothing is unbiased on the internet, and in general anywhere. Everyone writing something has an opinion.

The only thing with Wikipedia is that every article written is "peer reviewed." You could get an article on there if it is seen as good enough.

I don't like the HST at all... I practically live off fast food in university  ;D

Stop living off fast food. You can buy your groceries and eat healthy for cheaper than what you can buying crap.

What party? PC? Who is going to head it? I will join membership.

Won't need to cut back on eating out - you can always chose the food court meals, less $ and no tips.  ;D

I can forsee a lot of middle-class oriented family restaurants will be toasted.
