Hey all,what brand of line are you running with your centerpins?I just got into float fishing(only been out once),and had some wicked line twist while floating a colorado blade.There was 2 swivels on the blade its self,and one swivle conecting the leader to the mainline...so I didnt think it would twist up. Im wondering if the line twist is do to the type of line I was using ( Berkley trilene xl smooth casting 17lb).

What is everyone else running that they havnt had any problems with?

Chameleon 12lb. Both red and reg.  Absolute best line for pinning. Been having a b!!atch of a time these last few yrs tho
seeing my line during my drift. Lousy getting old .  Buddy uses 12lb Hi-Vis Gold  stren and likes it.

Cant go wrong with the Chameleon. Nice stiffness and spring that is perfect for CP.

Try using P-line (X-strong) in 15lbs. Best fishing I ever used.

 12 lb test Chameleon.I like it because I find it the most adaptable to different techniques and situations.

I have a Sufix line on my pin right now and it was on all season. I didnt notice a difference in hookup ratio but it was a very nice line for the most part however it seems to stick to itself until it gets wet  making the first few casts kind of screwy

I'll second that. Switched from chamelion and I'll never look back.

Another vote for P-Line X-Strong. I tried a 12lb on a levelwind and although incredibly strong, the memory was the worst I had ever seen in any line. On a centerpin, that of course wouldn't be such an issue.

Another highly regarded line is Ande, which I tried this past season in 16lb (also on a levelwind). Pros: fairly limp, pretty tough (abrasion resistant), cheap, all-around solid reviews from its users. Cons: consistently got beat by a 10lb Maxima UG leader, after only two outings it started losing color (getting pale/dry) much like Maxima UG, have to order online and smallest size is 1/4lb spool (around 600+yds in 16lb).

This year I'll be trying P-Line CX Premium in 25lb. I was gonna go for 20lb, which would have had a diameter slightly thicker than a 12lb Ultra Green; 25lb would be equivalent to roughly a 17lb UG (if it existed).  I'll do a review on it later in the season.

Another vote for the bright pink Maxima.

In terms of performance it blows away chameleon and it makes for way better photo ops.

i just spooled up one of my pins with the high vis trilene in green. We'll see how that goes.

fished the trilene today, very soft and nimble, comes off easy, and smooth, but birds nests bad if you screw up.
