Loon Lake Special
« on: July 11, 2010, 11:35:37 PM »

Hey! My family has been going up to Loon Lake (just North of Cache Creek) for years and years. Couple years back my Dad and I received a couple of flies from a fellow fisher on the lake.  He called them a Loon Lake Special.  Spratley shape, black head, was wrapped with a blue/green tinsel like material.  Can't remember if it had feathers or not.... Anyways.  Both of mine have unravelled and neither my dad nor I know how to tie flies.  Anyone know of where to find some more?  Or of someone in the General Okanagan area who ties similar flies?  Thanx.

Take the flies in to your local fly shop.
They will be able to fix you up.
If that doesnt work.
Send them to me and ill do my best to copy them.
Sounds fairly simple.
Could you possibly post a pic of them?

Hey thanks for the advice.  I'll see if I can find the flies and take some shots of them for you.
