Tried my luck with the Fly Rod at Green Timbers today, hooked into 1rainbow at 11:30ish, about 14inches, but he spat the hook after about 5seconds.  The fly that got the bite was a Black and Red micro leech with an orange bead head.  That was also the very first fish ive ever hookd into on the fly  It was Very windy out there today, actually when i was leaving i was walking down the trail, stopped to call my mom to tell her i was coming home, and a tree fell and landed right in front of me  good thing i stopped where i did to call her.

i think so, i saw a couple caught around the lake, but its very slow

Congratulations on your first (of many more) fly hooked fish. How did it compare to your other methods?

i wouldnt say caught, because i didnt land it  but the 5seconds with it on felt great, you can really feel what the fish is doing, i like that alot

  I stand corrected, your first fly hooked trout. And I agree there is nothing better than fighting a fish with virtually no weight on your line, you feel everything.
