hatchery sockeye

I notice non of te hatcherys have sockeye in there program, if so why dont they start?

There are a few up north.  

Sockeye is the most expensive salmon to raise in hatchery.  Couple that with the extra care that needs to be implemented when handling sockeye to prevent bacterial infection that plagued sockeye.

Inch Creek Hatchery in mission has the Pitt river sockeye as well as the Cultus lake sockeye program.
