They probably complained because of the litter and the fact that many fishermen like to start their day at first light. I'd be a little POed if I had to hear vehicles pulling up in front of my house on the only days I got to sleep in, wouldn't you?

instead of just putting up no parking signs why would they not put time restrictions ie no parking between 10pm and 8am
has anyone written to the authorities to ask the reason why they put the signs up???
Fishseeker sorry to add to the off topic section

I don't know if this is significant but I seemed to get more hits if the fly had red in it.  (In my case I was using a black wooly bugger with a red head on it).
Red in a fly, spinner , lure, bait, etc can sometimes make a huge difference
if it works stick with it ;)

Is there anywhere on the west road to park? What about towards the gas station?
I really don't want to launch my inflatable up at the toilet bowl because I never fish up there, and it's a lot of rowing to get back up there at the end of the day  ;D

Maybe we (or someone) should set up a 'shuttle' service for a small 'fee' or barter system - perchance a nice chrome fish would do.  :D

I'm just looking for where to park on the west side, I'm not concerned with access. I would dump my Zodiac, gear, fishing buddies, etc on the shore up near the islands on the west side then drive down and park (if parking is available). I would walk/jog back to the access point - they should have the gear all together, boat inflated, etc.

When the road was rebuild by the bridge above the Fraser, they should have made a effort to preserve the existing parking spots.   I'm disappointed the authoriities did not take fishers into account and also Fishing Clubs for not watching for the interests of members.
