lol I'm excited for this season also Chris should a good season with gs in net all season and kadri in the starting line up should be some exciting hockey finally lol they freaking owe us

Undefeated and untied since June ;D Burke is now stuck with Kaberle for another year.  Guess other teams don't want to give up their first round pick for him the way Burkie gave his away to Boston. ;D ;D

Lets try and keep all NHL topics in this thread (it makes it easier for me to moderate).

Keep the smack talk clean; no swear-words, no personal attacks, etc.

These threads run a fine line between friendly razzing and insults so keep that in mind as you post.

What did the Leafs do in the off season? They have a pretty high payroll for a team that didnt make many changes. They have a payroll of $58.1 million with just under $4million in space left.

Komisarek $6 million
Giguierre $7million!!!!!

2 guys that are being WAY over paid. Nobody in the league would touch those guys. Komisarek had 4 points in 34 games last season. What a steal at 6 million LOL. Yup the Leafs are poised for another last place finish HAHAHA!!! Even with a high payroll. Their problem is they have all their eggs in one basket. Phaneuf, Komisarek, Kaberle, Giguierre, and Kessel make up most of their entire teams payroll. Smart move!! Half of their entire teams salary is on those 5 guys.
