let's not forget too holmes, that the canucks' D going into last year's playoffs were totally depleted and injury plagued... Kesler and Burrows were also playing hurt.

As pointed out, the Gawks are a different team this year where the Canucks is almost complete....Payback is coming, not so much for being knocked out last year, but for submitting them to such a GAWD awful theme song!

lmao strato, yes blaydrnr im well aware of the depleted D of last year, but there are players of ALL teams that play injured in the playoffs, so that argument doesnt hold a lot of water to me, good teams find a way to win, nucks have a couple injuries this year as well and are calling up hodson and some other guy and now samuleson wasnt at practice today.....holmes*

so does that mean Chicago had horse shoes shoved up their a$$es? the defending champions made the playoffs not on their own accord.

very true every team goes into the playoffs with injuries, but name a team that suffered the same devastation the canucks endured last year...and went past the second round?

...the Canucks is almost complete....

Not quite.  Still a few injuries to heal, Malhotra out for good, and Torres sitting in the press box for 2 games.  Vancouver's big guns need to come out of the gate hard and put the hawks on their heals in games 1 and 2 at home.  They are going to need to lean on Lou to keep up his stellar play. Then with Torres back in Game 3 go on the road and play two good road games in Chicago.  If we come back to play in Vancouver it will be up 3 games to 1.

as i am pulling for the hawks to dispatch the casucks in the first round i do however have no problem giving recognition when recognition is due. the vanouver casucks are the best team in the reg season. Hard earned and cant be disputed. congrats.

now the real season begins and everyone has a clean record. Only the best of the best shall be victorious. Best time of the year!

GO HAWKS! :P :P :P :P

no it doesnt mean that the HAWKS have horseshoes up their a$$es, and yes they did make it in on their own accord, they did earn enough points to make it did they not?, there are other teams that didnt earn as many points as they did, rite?.....holmes*

That excludes the Flambe and the Griefs.

It is never good to have to hope another team loses their last game so that you get to play in the post season, which is exactly what the hawks found themselves doing on the last day of the regular season because they could not win one more game.  If they cannot beat the wings once to make sure they get into the playoffs, how can they hope to beat the Canucks 4 times to advance to the next round?

Forget Holmes...has anyone seen the Blackhawks?  They were supposed to play a playoff game against the Canucks tonight in Vancouver, but they are no where to be found.
