The opening is until 8pm tonight so most likely they will not be out selling tonight on the dock, but tomorrow morning would be a good time to go. I was just down there, no boats were back yet.

I have read this in the papers that the boats were selling it cheap in steveston. If you can get it for that price that is awesome

I went to Steveston after work and picked up a fresh sockeye.  Today's going rate seemed to be $20 for a small one (up to 5 lbs) and $25 for  a big one (6+ lbs).  All fish had been cleaned, heads on.

The worlds most overpriced fishmonger in Kits has whole sox for $4.99 per pound or fillets for $9.99. If they are selling for that others should be more like $3 IMO!

Steveston dock still has lineups this morning to buy whole fish at $5.00/pound or about $25 for a bigger one, maybe $20 for a smaller one. They were selling a spring at $6.00 per pound.

--so you buy fish from a legal source.. guts in and head on.. fishing gear in the truck..any problem?
--maybe make sure to get a receipt and make sure the source is legal.
