Those kits are fine, I myself have bought several,  but you are paying about a dollar for the hook bead and pin.  Buying in bulk if sources correctly could cut that cost significantly...

Great little shop. I believe Rod bought out all of the 60 degree stock from Joe at Rvrfshr  ;)

But they do have sickle hooks 90 degree with a lead head. 50 for 25 bucks.

I buy the kits from BentRod myself great quality and support the local guy.

Never had a problem with Rods sickle hooks straightening.
