When I showed up to the Vedder at 6:00am on Sunday morning my fishing hole had a Gill net in it.  The poachers that retrieved it only got one small dark fish, haha. And I though that flossing was a unethical.  For my fishing report I had a couple massive springs on but couldn't land them.  I was fly fishing.

Perfect day on the river!

Did you phone and report this gill net?

Didn't have a phone on me, they parked far enough away that I couldn't give a good description of the vehicle, and it was still dark out so I wouldn't be able to give a good description of the people. You think I should have reported it when I got home last night?

yes you should have called in and informed them you saw this. It's possible the same people will go back and do it again...but by calling in you're alerting them of such activity and hopefully enforcement sets their gaze on the river.

Anyways, I'm heading to the vedder tomorrow and possibly Wednesday as well. If anyone wants to meet up and do some fishin let me know. Hoping to hook into an adult coho this putting, I've only caught chinook jacks and one coho jack as well so far.

I found a gill net on the lower end last week. It was above the waterline, in a a bundle, on a log jam. No telling where it came from or long it had been there for.

visited the place 100 m below boundary hole today.  Got bad experience there - a lot of old guys occupied the place and looks like it's their backyard, and not friendly to the others...

I did quite well last thursday. Kept 2 hatch ho's around 8 and 9 pounds and released a couple beauty wilds around 12 and 13. got some great pics of them. hooked a lot more throughout the day. good water level, no rain, no wind, nice cool weather, and lots of fish. perfect day.
