No rain over night so today will be the last day for taking biting fish, that is if the rain they say is coming later today is that heavy, going for my first adult coho salmon in freshwater for this season. May have to try a blade like Lew. ;D

Hooked into my first Vedder chinook today!  ;D

Was an awesome to finally hook into a fish on the river...can't wait to head back.

Sorry, no fish porn for this one...wish I didn't leave the phone in the truck!

Pouring at 1am here at Vedder Crossing, I imagine it won't take long for the river to go out if this keeps up.

Just came back to put more chips in the smoker. River excellent. I lost two fish this morning, a bit after first light. One was a nice bright fish, looked like a chinook salmon. lots of bites from coho jacks, hard to hook even with a 20 gram Maple Leaf Drennan lying low in the water Some i am sure were smolts though. Tide is now turning nicely so the bite should be back on when I make my next cast in 5 minutes. ;D ;D

Picking up a coffee and a snack at home as well before I return to the river.

Rain on and off today but the river remained prime right up to when I left to catch the Leaf game. Did not want to leave as the action was picking up on the out going tide but I never miss cheering on Canada's #1 team.

Will fish a bit tomorrow at first light if the rain does not fall in buckets.

Fairly heavy rain now check the river gauge before you make a move tomorrow AM.

I will try to check what it looks like at 6 AM tomorrow morning.
