Vedder Coho
« on: September 08, 2010, 04:25:41 PM »

Well with the upcoming run in the Vedder/Chilliwack River, what would be a good choice of yarn colors to target these fish. Has anyone heard what the estimated size of this years run?

Just read that whole thing.. Where do you get black from? Was that a fly reference? I read 'make it look like a roe egg', spoons, spinners..
Black?

I had one of my best days catching coho using black wool...mind you it had a "tiny" bit of orange on top.

I wasn't the only one using and catching that day with that combo. "The halloween" ;D ;D ;D

Might I suggest 'the trick or treat'?
Seems more fitting  :)

Try using blue or purple with a small chunk of roe ;-)

When I use wool under a float I have had the most success with peach wool.  I have had success with a bit of blue polar bear hair and some Crystal Flash in an egg loop as well.

I typically fish slots close to shore so I like to use a dark red wool so I can it better in the water.
