I'd like to hear more about these techniques Chris.

Over the years my friends and I have caught springs and sockeye in the Fraser using float setups. We used about a 3 foot leader and made sure the pencil lead weight was about 6 inches off the bottom. It was a form of flossing as I believe the fish swam into the line and were caught then by the hook. As far as using the fly rod, that has always been a very effective flossing tool.  ;)

Okay so the spey guys can do it and a girl can float, floss, and drag a sock up on the beach. Now we need footage of a single hand fly angler sight fishing socks up close.

Chris I have spent so much time on that river over the past 25 years that I just love seeing it, perfect timing too with the train heading west.

I believe he was releasing foul hooked fish. This was easy to do as the run was stacked with sockeye.
