Thanks for the video Chris which was really informative and interesting. Between Pegleg and Gills bar for today and tomorrow, which one would you recommend for perhaps fewer people fishing? i have never fished on either of these bars so your kind assistance would be most helpful.  thanks in advance.

There was lots of room today and lots of fish too. The end of Gill had lots of room today but with a possible earlier than the 20th closure of the sockeye it could get busy.

I think he got this one right...I heard from a reliable source that it will close on the 19th....next meeting is now for Friday September 17...my money is on the 19th.

The fishery notice just came out this afternoon:

"Recreational fishing remains open for sockeye retention in the marine areas
until further notice and in the tidal and non-tidal waters of the Fraser River
until September 19th as described in FN0794 and FN0795. Please refer to the
specific Fishery Notices for other areas."

But they may shut it down at any time before the weekend...

 Excellent post again Chris, thank you. I was out at my favorite bar yesterday and it felt like that many fish were in front of me as there were in front of them men holding nets, lol. Glad to see them using thier science to try to better things hopefully.
