Chilliwack River, September 18th 2010
« on: September 18, 2010, 12:37:02 PM »

was out for a short time today for the first time of the season. due to some of the construction i couldn't go to my usual spot so i checked out a few other spots but i didn't like the way any of them looked but i stuck to one spot because i saw a riser. and for about 2 hours i fished the run with roe, blades and wool but nothing,, must of seen 10 fish rise, they all looked like jack chinook to me but i just couldn't get them to bit.... very frustrating

I love this time of year when the fall weather is beginning to set in, the fish start showing but its not a zoo out on the river yet.

I got a nice little hatch doe Coho this morning. Checked out another area that didn't produce but did see a riser and some promising water.

All in all a good morning out on the river

Was out early from 6:30am to around 11:30am. Saw lots of fish moving but no takers.

was the construction around Yarrow?
I went out for the first time this year and also found construction. I parked down the street and walked a bit. Caught and released a nice little bow but that was it.

Put in a whole day today from 6 - 3 pm with mixed results.
Lost a big spring early in the morning while it was raining.
Caught one jack spring and he was in pretty bad shape.
A few cutthroat and rainbows in between.
River is low, the rain helped a little bit.
Wasn't in the horoscope for today  ;D

i parked down at the ice cream plant and walked in. If you fish the same spot I was looking for it is totally slack water this year with no flow. >:(
I will have to do some scouting up much higher this year I think.
