Question on Vinyl Flooring
« on: September 18, 2010, 02:02:57 PM »

Has anyone replace their carpet with vinyl flooring? Did you use marine grade flooring and where did you have it done or did you do it yourself?
My carpet has seen better days and I'm thinking of replacing with vinyl this fall. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Are you talking about in your boat?

If you mean in your boat, a friend of mine did his boat. He pulled up the existing floor and used the pieces as templates to cut new pieces out of marine grade plywood. Then he covered each piece of plywood with vinyl (I think) decking material and then screwed the pieces down.
