new straps for Trophy XL fins
« on: September 19, 2010, 11:30:38 PM »

Picked up a pair of used Trophy Xl fins for $12 (taxes in) at a pawn shop, however they are in need of a new pair of straps.

Before I burn up the web trying to find a pair, thot I would post a quickie and see if you have any recommendations where to find a set, either mail order or retail store.

Thx.

Hi,
a friend of mine carries a short piece of strong bungy cord as a backup strap. When mine broke, he was kind enough to give me his backup strap. I've used it for two years now and like it better than the original because it is so easy to use. He shrink wraps the ends and this keeps the end for unravelling and makes a simple overhand knot hold.

I use thick surgical tubing and find it works way better then the straps.

Thanks for the reply both. Geff: do you knot the ends of the tubing, or cinch it with something?
