sockeye was tough, if you were averaging 50% you were doing good. soft mouths and light bites.
rearly loose chinook or coho.

Gotta agree...sockeye do have soft mouths. Maxillaries on the other hand  ::)


As for me I have to say coho. Nothing to do with the way they fight but just the bites are often quite soft.

i will say coho because i have personally landed a 20 + pounder actually it jumped out of the water and beached itself and spat the hook she was hatchery and she was from stave last year.oh yah she tasted great.

  • nothing like the first bite of the season

i would say chum and chinooks only because i use gear lighter than what is needed to land these brutes.
