Take a close look at the BARBED hook on his lure near the end of the video.

Well yeah, you need a barb so his tail can't spit the hook!

DFO really needs to patrol and protect this river better. At least with other flows, they have an excuse, such as the Vedder is too long to be everywhere at once, but the Cap is a short river RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the city, that sees a tonne of fishermen doing horrible things.

A sweep of the entire river once in a while would be nice.  The walk from the hatchery to the mouth only takes 2-3 hours.

Dfo is a joke. I spent 10 minutes going over everything wrong with this river, and they just look back at you with a stupid look on there face like nothing is wrong, there doing there job...

The first time I took my wife fishing and her first ever Salmon:

Her second was somewhat calmer, and she was already demonstrating good C&R techniques:

Nice videos Knnn.

I should have taken one of my girlfriend netting a lingcod and missing 3 times, and then me saying "you better not lose it this time" and then the fish spitting the hook right after.

We had been fishing for a while before I got that one so was a bit snappy.lol.

She won't fish with me again... :'(

Your video has been re-uploaded by many on YouTube and LiveLeak. I suggest that you flag them all down for copyright violation and place a content ID on your video so YouTube can verify that it is the original version. Protect your intellectual property.

Hi Rod,  Thank you for the suggestion, but I am not really up to speed on why I would need to protect the IP on the video.  I will get my son to look into for me he is a lot more tech savvy than I.

Content ID, not IP. :)

It really depends on whether you feel ok for others to re-publish your video/photos. Personally I do not want my digital content being re-published by others so they can generate more traffic to their website, account, etc.

ohh I get it, was being a little slow on the uptake and I can appreciate how you would not want others to profit off your hard work, particularly as you put so much effort into producing quality work and its a business.

This will probably be a one off event and so we don't mind sharing the fun to as many as possible.  I guess if someone benefits a little then that's ok with us.

(On the flip side, what I thought was a fun and amusing video, seams to have caused great offense to some viewers.  Reading some of the comments makes me realize how many bent and twisted folks out there)

Anyhow, I had not considered that aspect of posting up videos to the web, so thank you for the heads up.  Maybe Mary should start her own channel and try an monetize it  :)

Rod is right... You have over a 100,000 views on live leaks. People are making money from this. It should be you. Let YouTube put advertisements on it and you will get google cheques in the mail. I love my google cheques.
