Is it worth chucking a spinner / wool (and yes even a fly!) from the shore at Kilby?  Would this work or are the fish nailing it up the river at this point??  ???

Fancy targeting Chum and Springs.

Thanks for any wise words!

So does everyone, and generally if you hear it on the internet, chances are you won't find a little peace from the gong show unless its difficult to access.  Harrison is paved to the parking lot...

Havent been out for chum yet this year, but based on past years experience your still at least a week too early.

Kilby to the bridge can be okay on foot.

Fished it today.  Upstream from the bridge around the pilings.  Between the 4 of us we landed 10 or 15 chum.  No springs, saw a couple of coho jump.  Good day on the river.
Oh,  and bye the way.  If you have a 1974 Evinrude 9.9 HP motor.  Throw it in the garbage, because they are junk.

Hey Driller .... might be a silly question after the comment on the 74 Evinrude but .... were you bank fishing??

What was the killer method - not after secrets, just interested to know what method was doin the business (i.e. Fly, Spinning, Floating Wool, Roe, etc, etc).

Second pain question - were the fish far out from the side?

I cant speak for driller but from my own experience, the fish are never far from shore. Last year at the end of october I had great success fishing a single handed rod with average casting ability from the bridge up, right along the golf course there.
