Technique For Floating Spinner Blades?
« on: October 02, 2010, 10:57:01 PM »

Hey guys,

I tried some blades today and realized, I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

Do you set the float so the blades are near the bottom, like wool, roe?

Do you cast up stream and just let it free float down stream and swing out, then retrieve and expect a hit while retrieving back to shore?

Do you wind in to take up the slack while it's free floating down river.

Jeez...me thinks there's a bit to learn here.

Thanks for any input.

-Steve

You are all welcome. I found that article while googling info on using blades. I have yet to catch a fish on them yet I have a whole box full of them.  ::)

--dead float method as indicated in the article is one way to fish the compleat angler tumbler blades. the rig is two spinner blades attached to same swivel concave out.  Using a dead float the blades will tumble along the bottom.. when raised from bottom they will spin and wobble as the blades are different size.
