No Chedder sardine can for me today,I went sturgeon fishing for my first time. Landed 9, it was kewl !! Quite a nice change of pace, that's for sure. ;D

Hmm - nope.  Btw - nice jack spring Rod.  I just filleted one this evening and it turned out to be a nice marble.  Should be good on the BBQ.  ;)

My jack was a white one. Tonight we decided to try something different, so we steamed a piece of that fish with soy sauce and ginger. It worked out great. The dish was light, tasty. We'll be doing that for all white chinook jacks in the future I think.

I do that with trout as well.  Try drizzling a bit of hot oil over it before serving, Just like they do with rock cod in a chinese restaurant.
