Fly Fishing the Seymour?
« on: October 11, 2010, 01:23:56 PM »

Anyone out there fly fish the Seymour?  ???

Checked it out today but due to committments couldnt fish - wondered if Upper / Middle / Lower was the better, etc and what flies people prefered to target to differing runs, etc.

In my limited experience I would fish the lower (Maplewood Farm ) on the incoming tide, managed to fluke 3 jacks in 5 or 6 casts down there one morning. Think it is tough to find many places to fly fish further up although I have never been up to the fly only section before. Got the jacks on small silver muddler type pattern.
Cheers,
Nick

I went there today and fished th emapelwood farm.
Didnt catch a thing.
I was using a christmas tree and a silver rolled mudler.
I had a couple on but they spat the fly out.
