Well, to vary on the theme of the Chilliwack and the roe, the pocket fishing, the lining, the TOW and other inferior ways of fishing  , I took out my fly rod and went looking for the elusive chromers.

I found a lot of tomatos willing to take my fly, but the bright fish took me a while.

Luckily, one spectacular doe hit my muddler really hard and after a fierce battle with all the elements of coho warfare (rolls, jumps, splashes, and runs), this pretty 11 pounder came to hand:





Here she is, in all its goodness:



Just had coho on the BBQ...yum!
And fly caught - tastes even better! 

Summary of the day:

Nine on, 6 lost before landing, 3 to the beach, 2 released, 1 killed.
Great day fly fishing!
