Chilliwack River, November 6th 2010
« on: November 06, 2010, 09:35:59 PM »

Well, to vary on the theme of the Chilliwack and the roe, the pocket fishing, the lining, the TOW and other inferior ways of fishing  ;), I took out my fly rod and went looking for the elusive chromers.

I found a lot of tomatos willing to take my fly, but the bright fish took me a while.

Luckily, one spectacular doe hit my muddler really hard and after a fierce battle with all the elements of coho warfare (rolls, jumps, splashes, and runs), this pretty 11 pounder came to hand:

Here she is, in all its goodness:

Just had coho on the BBQ...yum!
And fly caught - tastes even better!  :D

Summary of the day:

Nine on, 6 lost before landing, 3 to the beach, 2 released, 1 killed.
Great day fly fishing!  :)

Milo, that's one of the four beautiful fish I lost on Thursday. You can have the fish, but please drop those two skeins of roe off at my doorstep in Richmond. ;D

Nice catch!

I am going south of the border tomorrow via Peace Arch.
Send me a mail with your phone number and maybe we can arrange to meet on my way down.
You can have the roe if you want, Rodney.

If not, I am pro-curing it tomorrow evening.

Hehe, I was just teasing. That's ok, thanks for the offer though. ;) Tomorrow I'm fishing somewhere I think...

Procure it up, give it to Bobo in case his fly stops working. ;D

At first I thought you stood on the kitchen counter to take that great aerial shot ;D...my wife hates it when I do that.
