Not much rain forcasted between now and tomorrow, could be perfect, a little push of fish and some clearing, dropping water.  Merry Christmas

Just looked at the river and the Lower has improved to close to 2 feet now, no rain at the present time.

Talked to an angler by the Hydro Bridge and said the Upper is fine at this time.

no matter what the conditions you all should come out and participate in the derby as the proceeds do go to a good cause...

The BEST (or luckiest) fisherpersons shine in the most adverse conditions.

I headed out today mid afternoon. I was going to enter the derby but family obligations kept me from the river.  decided to hit the river anyhow. seemed like fish numbers have been high. Myself and fishing partner fished hard all day and did not see a fish caught. TONs of guys out (being derby day) however it was pretty sleepy in the mid river where we were fishing. I think the number of early season anglers have created an inflated consensus of the early run size.  Could just be bad luck though.

ps Howe is a  beak (lets go this week)
