Thanks all - went with the 16' and 40hp.

So what is worth fishing now so I can try out this boat?  Cutties maybe?  Not a big steelhead fan as I can't seem to catch them.

Lightly used 2007 rig with trailer for $5600.  Gotta love winter deals.

engine (40hp merc tiller) $6.5k
boat $3.5k
trailer $1k
taxes $1.3k

Pretty tough fishing this time of year.
Would be a good time to get it set up how you want it.
Sounds like an awesome deal at $5600.00
Should go like stink with a 40. :o ;D

It's going to be tough waiting until spring.  Buddy needed the money and I needed a great deal.  I suspect the motor may have turned people away - it is manual tilt and fairly heavy to pull up.  Converting it to power tilt is too costly.  Whatever the reason I'm happy with it.
