Nice catches none the less. After an outing the other day, I was asked "just a couple of carp? That's too bad!" That was my targetted species! I thought I did pretty well! lol

Yup, its a Luna 300.  Hooked 5 fishing that morning and then took another buddy out for an evening drift and hooked 4 more.  My Calcutta 400TE got absolutely fried by a 30 pound platinum chrome Spring.  The fish hit hard and all was going well, when it took off on 2 screaming runs leaving a foul burning smell.  At that point the reel locked up and called it quits.  The reel would not give or take any line.  This with about 75 yards of line out.  I was able to keep the fish on right up until the beach with myself somehwere up the bank in the trees and it took one last run before breaking off.  It was quite the fiasco.  Even a fox came out of the bush and watched.  This reel served me well but I did not expect it to go like this.  Will be sending it back to see what went wrong.

Will be floating down the river in less than 6 hours.
