Do not go for a long hike when there is snow on the ground and your wearing felt bottom wader boots.Like a magnet, every ten steps i'd collect a ton of snow that would mess up my walk.Oh well keeps me in shape.

This only happens in certain consistencies of snow at certain temperatures, sure beats wearing Vibram soles on anything slippery though.

Im actually surprised that Vancouver Island hasnt already banned them seeing as they are seeing affects of cross contamination in alot of their rivers. I think a few hours in the freezer or something and you can kill any parasites that may be in the cloth of your boots, its not just the felt but also your laces that will carry the most of everything.

HOOK - will wear his felts until they burn out before i buy Vibram soles  >:(

agreed with hook.. pointless in banning felt when the laces and material in the boots can carrie the diseases as well.
