Two years ago I hooked into three fish in 5 casts on a white plastic worm. A guy fishing the same run at the same time with pink worms didn't get a single hit.

milo, what was the water visibility and temperature like when you hooked those 3 steel head using white worms?
Was it low viz high water or clear low water situation? Just curious as I am experimenting with different colour worms. :)

I have found white worms work better in clearer water or a slight green colour, but in grey water they dont really do much

My buddy Ralph swears by small 2" white worm (plastic), or orange jenson egg with white wool

My new go to is the Roe fly... been using is on the stamp/somass/vedder with huge success.
Tied it up about a month ago, used it on 6 trips so far and has hit 6 steelhead and a few rainbows. 5 of those Steelhead were behind guys using prawns/roe.
Def something I will be carrying around at all times, especially on bait ban systems.

--I use compleat angler soft plastics... full variety of colours.. egg Klus-Terz, Egg ohzs, wing-dings etc.

--Can use the Klus-Terz in a row bag with scent where bait is legal
