Detroit apparently has locker room issues and not much depth, but they are the Wings, and are always dangerous.

Can the Coyotes finally win a series?

Nashville, are THEY due to win one after almost bouncing the Hawks last year.

The Hawks go 7 wins 8 losses in their last 15 to back into the playoffs, has the lack of depth caught up with them?

The Canucks have a full, healthy D core, but will miss Manny.

Can San Jose FINALLY deliver?

In Wayne Gretzky's Autobiography, he recalls the night the Oilers lost the 1983 Stanley Cup Finals to the Islanders.
It was the Islanders 4th straight cup, and the Oilers would go on to win 5 after this.

As he and teammate Kevin Lowe walked out of the arena, they had to pass the Islanders locker room, after losing the final game. What they learned that night helped make them a Championship team and a dynasty:

"We both knew we were going to have to walk by the Islander locker room, and we were dreading it: having to see all the happy faces, the champagne shampoos, the girlfriends' kisses, the whole scene we wanted so much.

Hows this;

Burr and Kes were hurt going back to the LA series, both played through torn/seperated shoulders.  Both had surgery as soon as the series was over with the Hawks.  So two top 6 forwards coulnd't throw a hit, and couldn't shoot properly.

Salo was playing hurt.  Edler missed the last two games.  Mitchell was out.  Thats 3 top 6 dmen that missed time.

So against a fast, deep and physical Hawks team, the Canucks were missing two of their top 4 goal scoreres, and three of their largest shut down defensemen.  And the Hawks were very good, better than the Canucks.  If the Canucks even had a chance last year, they needed to be healthy to do so.
