It was his best game as a Canuck last night.  He has been good most of the playoffs.

Another weird late goal to keep them in it.

It looks like that is what it will take for either team to win this series.  A fluke goal or a weak call by the ref...take your pick.

Time for the Nucks to bear down.  They Nucks have played the most games in the NHL so far in the postseason.  And have logged the most miles.  They need to get some efficiency going.

Bury the Preds tonight and make them not want to take that flight to Vancouver.  It looks like the SJ-Det series is going to end sooner rather than later.  It will be crucial to bury these guys.

The Sedins have to get it going.  Henrik is clearly hurt, so a shorter series will allow some healing time.  Must be a groin, hip flexor or rib cage muscle.  I hope its something that is healable, and not needing surgery.  Trotz knows this and has the Weber-Suter tandem out there against the Kesler line.

If Hank put up the huge numbers last year without Daniel.  Why not rest Hank now and see if Danny can do something with a Raymond-Daniel-Burr line.  Or Higgins - Daniel - Burr.

This game is so fricken huge.

Good team win.

Lou looks like when he didn't lose a game on road for 3 months earliers in the year.

PK is good.
PP is good.

Team is relatively healthy, BURY THEM ON SATURDAY.

Workmanlike game again for the Nucks.

Didn't give up many (any?) odd man rushes.  Kept almost everything to outside, gave up NOTHING in front of the net time/space wise.  Punished the Preds that tried to plant themselves in front.

Outstanding PK as usual, despite giving up a goal.

What a great all around team game.  Just stifling.  Much like the Canucks did to the rest of the NHL all year long.

Combine that with a rock solid Vezina candidate in net, there is not much to give to the Preds.

You gotta wonder why the Preds can't be a bit less one dimensional and play with the aggressive forecheck and D pinching game that they employ when they are behind, at more times throughout the game.  Shoot for the opening goal using that pressure attack.  Trotz only goes to that method late in the game, when trailing.

So whats the chance of Canucks picking up Rinne ????
For the fifth time this series he is the better keeper by a mile!
I thought the Canucks played a great game once again and aren't rewarded......

Wow are the Sedins completely out of sync.  Henrik must be really hurt, he simply cannot move out there.  Painfull to watch.  I think they were both -3 tonight.

Chicago's offense is better than Detroit's or San Jose's.

Nashville's defense is better than Detroit's or San Jose's.

Joel Ward, David Legwand and Smithson are the only forwards to score in the series.  The Nucks show why they are the Jennings winners.

The Canucks gave up 11 goals in winning the six game seriea against Nashville. The same Nashville that scored 22 goals in 7 games in eliminating Anaheim in 7 games in the first round.

Four of the 11 goals were scored on "shots" from behind the goal line. At least another four were given up on individual gaffes by Canuck D men.

Give credit where credit is due- the Canuck forwards- all of them- played an absolutely stifling defensive game which overcame the less than stellar goaltending, and the gaffes by the D. Which I am sure made AV happy, and largely explains the Canucks lack of offensive power in the series.
