Where to get bait casting reels serviced?
« on: April 30, 2011, 05:10:11 PM »

I have a couple of shimano bait casting reels that are in need of a good servicing.  Can anyone recommend a shop in the lower mainland that offers such a service?

Express reel service is really good with a quick turn around and there is also Mike's reel repair. Both shops are in the Abbotsford area.

Express reel service maybe in Abbotsford, but it is very close to the yellow barn and not that far from the Vedder.  You can call Kevin at 604-996-4466.

What sort of cost are you looking at to have a reel serviced?  I have a 330 that is begging for some lovin'.

Do any of the fishing stores in Vancouver provide a service to get reels out the repair shops in the valley?

I would imagine they all would for a good price. Why not just mail it yourself?

I thought some may do it free of charge, perhaps because it gets people in the shops and for the sake of good customer support???
