dissapointed? below the freeway looks deadly. high water and a bit of color is prime trolling water for me anyways. i'll try and be out tomorrow.

If you do go out, don't forget the bug spray. Plenty of skeeters out there.

Tried a couple spots for an hour.  Gave up and went trout fishing at Jones. Gonna wait till after the melt. Maybe in a couple weeks.

I stopped for a quick look at lickman on my way home yesterday. Very high and colored, maybe 3"s of vis at best. Sure didn't stop people from trying though, i was surprised how many people were trying to fish or walking around with rods.

Guess it's just nice to be back out after the break and most are really there just to get out and about?

This rod will not bother for several weeks yet given the reports above!!  ;)

Took a quick peak today, but didn't have much luck.  It's very high and visibility is fair to good up top, but deteriorates quickly after the first few slides.  I'll probably wait a couple of weeks before heading out again.

Red Springs are pretty scarce in that river. Rather spend my time on stillwaters

Yeah, its getting tougher and tougher to connect with them in the Vedder, but I'm usually desperate enough this time of year to head out and admit that I'm gonna get skunked.  It's just nice to be out.

I wouldn't say scarce at all . If you time it properly and fish the right water it's pretty easy to connect with a bunch each morning. Bright fish too. Not stale dark fish.
Water conditions dont warrant me heading out on opening day this year , but last year I was into 6 on July 1st .
