Thompson River, August 20th & 21st 2011
« on: August 21, 2011, 09:01:35 PM »

Fishing was good. Hooked into a tonne of adults. Dad hooked 3 jacks and landed 2. I hooked 2 but they both came off. Not very many jacks yet, mostly adults. Going back in about 2-3 weeks. After I get back from the Columbia. Nice fishing with Chris and Slick Vic.

Cheers

Float fishing with roe, just like what you'd do on the Vedder, except with heavier float as the current is stronger.

Just roe and you could add wool along with it. I have gotten them on blades too. I got a few pics, but only one of a fish, rest is scenery. Chris took some pics of us fishing with some 15 ish pounders and a nice video, they should be up when he gets back.

i guess you you didnt land any adults , because they'll just shoot into the white water  . is this right? and are you allowed to retain them there ? (adults)

Actually as of August.22(yesterday) until Sept.18 you can retain one over 50cm in the new Five locations they added last year just look in the Freshwater Region 3 part of your Salmon Synopsis.

BCFisherman97 can I ask where on the Thompson and Chris I saw a post of yours earlier that you fish the Thompson, my neighbour does and told me to go to Chase and fish the Thompson as it meets the Sushwap Lake right by the bridge and he stayed at the Lions campground right on the river, is this possible and have you? ???

When I talked to him, he was fishing. But I think he might have gone for a swim later.
