Subject: FN0775-RECREATIONAL - SALMON: Sockeye Hook & Release Pilot Mortality Study - Region 2 - Fraser River
Further to FN0684, the beach seine component of the recreational sockeye hook
and release study at Grassy Bar, in the Fraser River near Chilliwack, will be
conducted this week on Thursday August 25th and Friday August 26th.
>From 08:00 hours to 14:00 hours beach seines will be deployed utilizing the
majority of Grassy Bar. Due to this activity there will be no vessels
permitted to fish or anchor in the portion of Grassy Bar which is marked as the
study location. Please note that the marker for the boundary of the study site
is a bright yellow poster board which is set on the bar near the top end of
Grassy Bar.
