I think I'll go to the fly shop and see if they have thinner specifically for hard as hull but it does say on the bottle that there is acrylic ingredients.

I have not use Hard as Hull, but some head cements can be thinned with a few drops of water, especially if it has Acrylic ingredients.

To thin Hard As Hull I use a eye dropper and add acetone, a few drops at a time until you get the consistency you want.

I just use brushable Loctite over the mylar tinsel which makes it almost bomb proof, no need for a wire ribbing then. I also add the flash to mine under the deer hair wing but over the mallard flank.

Hook - really does hate tying these damned things :-(
