Nice to see you were considerate to put the fish out of it's misery while you filmed everything and took measurements.

Oh wait, you kept it alive gasping for air while you pulled out the tape measure and did some filmingt. Did you keep it? Hope so after that episode.

4 foot leader, no float, yarn...classic flossing gear.

When he pops the hook out you can see the yarn in the outer corner of the mouth, far side of the fish....it sure looks like it was flossed to me.

Nice work!

lol! looks like the work of the god old "vedder pullback" - follow the drift to the end, then yank the rod as hard as you can before the retrieve - OH - I felt a "BITE"

Can't be certain that the fish was flossed, but why bottom-bounce the vedder? The comments about treatment of the fish are totally justified. At best, you're broadcasting your ignorance of fishing ethics on youtube.

Oh it's certain that fish was flossed no float 5" pencil lead and 4-5 ft leader and just wool Also Rahmanjoy mentioned his setup having 40lb braided main line! Do you really need that on the Vedder ??? It's pretty clear that the fish was flossed

If you look at the end of the video, the eyes have that glazed over straight stare of a dead fish, so it looks like he indeed kept it. Still, it was kind of painful to watch

I think he overestimated the weight of that fish by quite a bit. ~8 lbs is probably more accurate

How does one fish that really shallow water with a float?  It looks like the float would just sit on the gravel without even floating.
