says limit for coho is 1 hatchery per day

says 4 hatchery coho per day

 

also limit is zero for chinook in stave?

1 hatchery coho per day. In season regulations are the most up to date.
0 chinook. I don't remember the Stave ever allowing retention for springs. My guess is that they don't stock them.

Yes, always go by  http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/fresh-douce/region2-eng.htm as it is always most up to date....the regs books are made and printed before the seasons even start so many times there are changes that will not appear in red as they were also changed before the season started but just after the book had already been printed/produced.....just another damn way that they confuse people who are not in the know....I mean I am sure there are a ton of people out there that just go by what the book says and dont think twice about it or dont think to go to the site to look at the new or in season changes.....of course they should but just saying I bet there is many that dont!

A little bit early still - there may be the occasional fish - but generaly mid Oct is when the Chum/Coho start to move in.  Stating that - last year they were a little late arriving and there were not as many neither.

The ones in red are the most recent changes.  After a awhile they will change to black or else the whole thing would be red (there are so many in season changes) and so the red would lose its effect (that is drawing your attention to a recent change in the regs).

Was wondering about this, hopefully it's a mistake, they had a good Coho return and a crappy chum return last year, why reduce the Coho but keep the Chum the same???

yes you used to be able to retain one spring and 4 coho in the stave, two coho over 30 cm
a few summer reds  and stocked fall Harrison whites springwise.
now its one coho and no springs, its been that way for a while and i wondered when someone would say something, its not the only local change either

 Yes they do stock them. The hatchery from inch creek does coho as well as springs from the stave. The used to do chum as well but have stopped doing that a few years ago as they said it is now self sustaining lol .

I suspect they will be late too as all the other runs were.

They closed chum last year I believe...
